Alexandria House
This project was particularly unique in it’s thinner than usual terrace width. Spaces previously were disconnected and cut off from each other to the point where the house was a series of small, dark and unusable areas. What this design embraced is the space within the vertical where we were lacking in the horizontal. Asymmetric roof planes allow light and ventilation to spill through and the result is a continuous and seamless journey from front to rear. The mimicking of the roof planes to the studio offer a playful yet integrative connection with the yard and main dwelling.
