House for a Botanist

Description: The focus on the re-design of this historic residence was to maximise the space, introduce light, but most of all; how to celebrate the love for botany and how the outdoor environment can enrich the internal living areas. The idea was to enter the home and immerse yourself in an unexpected oasis and openness. A stunning rear garden of rare species, palms and an external façade draped in greenery are the real highlights of this design. The internal and external spaces compliment the outdoor environment and the focus is for the striking addition to add an extra level of complexity and awe to the wonderfully maintained period features of the existing home.
